"Sauerbraten is one of my faves and I always order it at the authentic German restaurants. This recipe is VERY comparable. It is fantastic and I have already made it at least 5 times. Definitely take out the meat before stirring in the ingredients at the end. The meat gets so tender, that if you don't take it out, you will end up with a stew - no large pieces of meat - it falls right apart (it happened to me twice - very disappointing!). Otherwise, this is fantastic. It has wonderful flavor."
