"I was looking for something to use up some carrot batons, celery, charlotte potatoes, spinach and yellow split peas that were used in other recipes but not finished. I followed the recipe only using yellow split peas instead of green lentils. One of the few soups I know that tastes great straight away. Im a bit of an insomniac cook, so I made this at 5am, my husband came through at 6am to find me breakfasting on some! Im serving it with nan bread for tea. I will definitely make this again and maybe use green lentils next time :o)"
