"I had no idea what to do with yellow split peas, so I did a search on vegan split-pea recipes and this came up. It was SOOOO GOOOOD!!!!! I added more of the cayenne pepper because I like things spicy, and honestly, I still didn't think it was super spicy, but it was very, very tasty. I even microwaved the leftovers the next day and they were good. I did end up cooking the split-peas 40 minutes instead of the recommended 20 as well. You need to cook them until they turn a little mushy when you stir them. I will definitely make this again!"
