"This turned out to be wonderful! I did change a few things. Because I cook a lot with wild rice, I knew the rice would need more liquid, so I added another cup of water. After I sauted the onion and garlic in the bacon fat, I quickly threw in the pieces of chicken to brown in the bacon drippings. After a few hours I added fresh chopped asparagus and when done, topped the dish with dollops of cream cheese. I think adding the bacon at the end would be a great idea, too!"
