Sure'n It's a Fine "Irish Coffee" Cake,

"Here's a flavorful treat that gets away from the usual chocolate or carrot cake -- and it's easy to fix.
I used arrowroot instead of egg replacer because it was in the front of the cabinet, and it worked fine. The strong coffee and the whiskey both give a nice flavor without being overpowering. The batter wasn't bad either, and I'm not usually a fan of cake batter!
My only criticism is that a tablespoon of baking powder + a teaspoon of salt + 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda = a serious dose of sodium, and a salty aftertaste. Is all that really necessary? I might cut down a little next time and see if it still turns out okay."
