"This cake is a great variation on the original recipe that used boxed frosting mix. You do have to be careful how you measure. Don't push the measuring cup into the flour and powdered sugar. Use a spoon to lift the dry ingredients into the measuring cup. This measuring mistake is why some people get dry, crumbly cakes. And be sure the butter is really soft. Let it stand out of the refrigerator for a couple of hours before you make the cake."
