"I baked an apple pie on thanksgiving. The crust held together better than any other i have tried in the past. It did not crumble when placed on a plate, and withstood the moisture of the pie. I made a double batch thinking I could put a lid on my apple pie. This was the only downer. The top lid never got firm like the bottom. I don't know if it was due to the moisture from the apples or the fact that it wasn't precooked. either way, a great crust for a topless pie or maybe it was the palm oil I put on top of the apples (replacing butter drops) that soaked into the top crust. EIther way, will definately be using this recipe again."
