CMM1200 Critique, September 24, 2009
By Aquaviva

"The Black & Decker CMM1200 does the trick if you have a manageable front and back yard (about 5-6000 sq ft). Charge it overnight and you're good to go, as long as you walk quickly. If not, you can do the front one day and do the back the next. One concern: Be very gentle with the start/stop lever, as it turns on a plastic pin. Mine broke in less than a year of normal use. If it breaks, a handy person can disassemble the lever clamshell housing and replace this plastic axis with a 1-5/8" long 3/16" wide metal pin. Be sure to drill a 1/4" deep 3/16 wide hole in the housing side with the protruding plastic pin (which you must cut away)."
