"I will start by saying that the review done by Alun Williams is 100% spot on.....Just perfect in every way........
Steve Lukather is a national treasure whether you know it or not. He's talented (aka gifted), kind, funny & on just about every CD you own from the 80's.
Luke just lets go on this album & he didn't try to do anything but make great enjoyable music. There's only a small handfull of amazing guitar players that have a voice with the skill to match (think Hendrix, Clapton or SRV). Steve's voice is perfect for hard rock or a ballad.
The stand out songs are "Ever Changing Times", "New World" & "Stab in the back" for me. These songs should ALL be on the radio right now since they were written & played by the artist himself. This is not a case of some hot chick (or dude) that looks the part, but was fed the song by someone else & backed by guys of Steve's calibur.
Take your hard earned money & buy this CD. You will listen to it for years to come & get more enjoyment out of it then you ever thought possible for $12.00. You will support an amazing artist who will in turn put out more great music down the road.
Some of Steve's older solo stuff has some great tunes & licks as well, but "Ever Changing Times" is the complete package this time. This a great pop / rock cd with a few twists & turns along the way. I'm not even going to mention how tasty the guitar work is as that is just a given here.
To quote Alun Williams "Lukather = Class" & I'll add "Quality" to that as well. This is the 1 time that you get more then what you paid for.
This is my 1st ever review as it is not my thing so to speak. My love for this album drove me to review it.
