Burton Approach Review, December 16, 2008
By NachoBlaha2008

"The Burton Approach is a great snowskate for anyone who's willing to try it out. This board is fun for beginners, as well as the advanced. With a solid plastic design, the snowskate is sort of a cross between a regular snowskate (such as Premier or Ambition) and a bideck (like Burton's Junkyard). So it has the feel of a single deck but has a lot more control.I would definitely recommend this board to anyone, but just to be clear there were some cons to it. First, the hard foam covering becomes very slippery when it gets covered in snow, and seeing how it's supposed to be ridden in snow it happens a lot. To fix this though I just got some stomp pads and set them in to the foam. It works fine now. You could also cut horizontal strips out of the foam for added traction. Second, the board isn't the best at ollieing. It's like trying to ollie on a bideck. Those are the only two problems I found. Other than that, the Approach is a solid, well built snowskate that's ready to take a beating and will last for years. It has for me."
