not horrible, but not worth 40 bucks, November 4, 2008
By JasenH

"i bought this thing last week off the internet. as soon as i picked it up, it felt flimsy. the casing is made of cheap plastic, and the batteries are not rechargeable. for 40 bucks, the casing should be metal, and there should be a rechargeable battery pack. but ok, i can work with it. i have a thick carpet of hair, so the job took some time. yes, the trimmer bogged down and pulled when i hit the thicker patches, but it does cut. i began on my shoulders and worked downwards, trimming about a 1/4 inch at a time literally pushing the hair off my back. the angles took some getting used to, and i did the overall job in stages to rest my wrists and arms. the shave wasn't blade close, but it was down to less than a 1/8 inch. it was a trade-off: no smooth, but no ingrown hairs either, so i was happy with my results.

the reason i'm giving this only 2 stars and say dont buy it is the casing began to separate along the seams, and the motor burned out on the 2nd use, 3 days later. so i am in the process of RMA back to Amazon for a refund. for the price i paid, i can get a smooth result with a wax, or ask someone to use my hair clippers on my back."
