"Hated it. Horrible sequel to an excellent Gold Coast. Did not like the Dear Mrs. Manners reference, did not like "hearing" John's thoughts before and after he spoke. Susan was not easy to like in The Gold Coast and even harder to like in this novel. They got back together too quickly...Susan was too demanding and not remorseful. John is a sap. So..love DeMille but HATED this story line. DeMille loves to write the sex scenes, thought the pillow under the butt was great. But... absolutely hated this sequel. Will not recommend it. Wished my husband had not spent over $20 to buy this for my Christmas present."
