Summer Opens Up a Box of Crayons...,

"Summer's strong voice soars again with the release of the "Crayons" CD. Summer takes on many musical genre's with this project with ease as her versatility has always been her strong point as well as her substansial song writing abilities with her co-writing all 12 songs.
Side A: caters to the younger Rhianna generation (Crayons), while Side B: takes this record in a new direction. The songs get slowed down, latin/samba, blues/country sound to name a few. One thing that would be missing from this contemporary sounding CD soaring diva notes and the classical slow intro then drive into a disco beat sound that Summer was famous for in the 70's. (Ex. Last Dance)
"Crayons" does have it's gems: "Stamp Your Feet", "Crayons", "Im a Fire" and the acoustic ballad "Be Myself Again" are worth a closer look. Give it an A+"
