A History Lesson,

"There are few movies I love, and this is one of them. When you spend your time growing up in one corner of the world, anything you learn about another place comes in filtered and tainted. From Persepolis, we get an innocent account of 'the events'.
This movie is less of a story and more of a snap shot look at the results of a people ravaged. You almost get the sense that this could happen anywhere.
What I like especially is Marjane shows what place martial arts, Godzilla and Iron Madein have in each of us when life turns dark.
I am deeply moved by this story. It prompted me to research more into the history of Iran. I would recommend it to anyone."
