"I thought that Charlize Theron gave an excellent performance as Aileen Wurnos in "Monster". I've read reviews about people complaining about how "awful" she looks with her make-up and thirty pound weight gain, well she's playing a real person not some gorgeous super model people.

Anyway, Charlize's performance was definatly one of the best I've ever seen. Christina Ricci did a great job too as the quiet Selby.

My favorite scene in the film (for Charlize's performance) was when she was saying good bye to Selby near the bus stop and she begins to break down crying. It was a remarkable scene for her. The other is when she sees Selby point her out in court as if she's betraying her (I may be wrong with this but whatever) and she again breaks down.

Over all, excellent performace and an excellent film."
