They knew Ms Beckius was coming, July 17, 2009

"We are not from Connecticut and needed a place to stay for a wedding. The trip had been planned for months and the room reservation was the first item completed. We were looking forward to a week at "The Inn".
The Inn at Mystic, at least for most of the rooms is nothing like the review written by Ms. Beckius. The place is not quite as roomy as described but might be considered an adequate walk-in closet, and at $173 a night is hardly worth the price. With a sliding door as our main door the locks were iffy from a security perspective and there was no screen so you couldn't even enjoy the breeze. A refridgerator was suppose to be part of the deal but, oh by the way, your particular room doesn't have one. The "Mansion" might be absolutely wonderful but the other rooms aren't as good as the local Motel6.
The front desk clerk was pleasant but the Inn Keeper had a very gruff and distasteful attitude. We left without staying even one night. If you have a pet you're relegated to the rooms below the restaurant which is noisy and there is no adjacent parking. You must descend a series of steps (one of which was not secured and will end up causing injury), and with a week's worth of luggage is rather unpleasant.
Reading the terms and conditions was like "do not pass go" in Monopoly, every infraction was a $100 "fine".
Don't let the brochure or website fool you. If you just need a bed to sleep in and plan to relax elsewhere, the Inn might be the perfect place for you."
