Blue Ember BBQ - yes.,

"I am working on my second year with a Blue Ember BBQ and it does everything the manual says it should. I do not, again, DO NOT put anything abrasive on the grills. They are porcelin coated and will wear out quickly. Would you put a wire brush on your car? I think not. If the gunk on the grills will not come off, I take the grills and put them in a pan and cover it with a well known soft drink for about twenty minutes and it cleans the grills back to new. What soft drink? It's the one that we put with rum. I hesitate to mention the name as I know everyone likes to sue your behind off these days. Just don't drink the stuff! It'll eat your insides out! I am not a great side-burner type, so I cannot comment on that. As to the rear burner being used for the rotissary, it is good, but cannot be used in conjunction with the main burners. If it is not appearing to work, it may be connected poorly, or not at all. I use the smoker regularily and it produces some of the best smoked salmon my friends have every tasted. It's easy, but you have to read up on how to use a smoker properly. I did a bit of research on the call back. I found that the people that had the fire in their unit had mostly assembled them themselves. I did too, but I have learned that the assembly fee is the smartest thing I could have done when I purchased the unit. I very nearly fitted the fire box with the hoses carrying the propane on the wrong side of the unit. I mean, not the left or the right, but inside of the insulating! I too would have been complaining very loudly, but I saw what I had done and corrected it. I have looked at the new models that Fiesta has brought out and I think they are over-the-top and now big bucks. The base is more than I need and I expect to have it for some time. Keeping it clean is the real trick to making it last. Having all the grease only increases the heat and affects the metal and doesn't help the cooking either. If you are going to get one of these units, I suggest you do a couple of things, read the manual when you get it and understand what the unit is intended to do. Get it professionally assembled, then buy Weber's BBQ cookbook. It will put your cooking far beyond what you thought you were capable of."
