Great fryer, poor quality,

"The mount that the heating element slides into is pop riveted to the steel frame. Quality Control is poor, the rivet holes in the mount didn't line up with the holes in the frame, so when they put the fryer together, they put the rivets in cockeyed to make them fit. Fryer worked great 1 thanksgiving. The next year when I wanted to use it, I discovered that the misaligned rivets had cracked the mount, and so it didn't line up the safety switchon the heating element to where it would let the element heat up. I had to constantly adjust it to make the fryer work. I didn't realize this was a problem until I owned it for a year. Pretty bad for something I paid $140 for and it only worked right once. I would recommend you check out someone else's fryer before you buy this one. I will say the turkey came out great, it was very moist, you have to use peanut oil, and it is expensive, but that's how you get a memorable turkey."
