I Love Mint,
November 19, 2008

"I started using Mint.com when I heard about it from the Clark Howard radio show. I haven't done a real budget in many, many years. It is so cool to have all of my accounts right in one place. It is very easy to categorize expenses, plus Mint usually can guess at the right category. Because of Mint, I saw junk fees my bank was adding and subscriptions I should have terminated months ago. I've eliminated over $50 a month in ongoing expenses I didn't need and signed up for a high yield checking account instead of my no-interest accounts. With Mint.com, I feel like I am really in control of my money. One drawback is that not all banks "talk" to Mint.com. I decided to move my money out of a credit union that didn't (I wasn't getting the best interest rates there anyway and they aren't conveniently located). The other bad part is that now I can see how the stock market crash has affected my retirement accounts. Sometimes you just don't want to know!"
