"It's all over the place, it goes from trying to be 80s metal to Miley-Hannah land, then back again. It's almost like they were trying to blanket the market so something stuck, and that never works as you end up like Lil rounds, "what kind of artist are you". The girl can sing, especially when she does, and I like the slow ballad about tasting poison the most. Maybe there's hope for the future. In reading about this it took over a year to make. Sort of shocking in hearing result, unless the material was all newly written in the studio, plus a lot of downtime.
They need better songwriting, that's mostly the trouble. Big trouble, I know. The melodies are weak and uninspired, the hooks are dull, the guitar work is bland and safe, boring sums it up. As the review said the lyrics are not that good either, just silly and juvenile. It's like a teen girl, who has not had much life experience, trying to write about passion, love, and sexuality. I do disagree with writer on one thing though, I don't think she's trying to be overly sexy so much as cold and tough. Her style of dress is more Metal, and not in a "Vixen" sexy sleazy way, more Joan Jett.
But let's stay on topic with the songs themselves, 2 stars."
