New to iMac, October 13, 2009

"I needed a new machine after going through a "few" windows machines in the last 15 years. I was sick of the poor reviews I was reading...and was being pressured by a close friend (an HP sales rep) and my wife to at least look at them (imacs). I did just that. I actually stepped myself up to the 24" model with more RAM. I spent more that what I planned on at the time but after only 3 short weeks I feel good about this purchase. Everything that I was shown and told is true. The system is easy to use and easy to look for the solutions. The system is much faster than any other machine I had and the graphics is better than I expected. I am somewhat of a camera buff and I downloaded Olympus for Mac. The editing features on the iPhoto that came with the Mac are superior to the Olympus and just as easy to use. Getting use to name changes ie: Safari = internet Esplorer and Pages = wordprocessing will take some time to get use to. Don't buy a new machine without at least looking at the macs. The only down side right now is that Apple help lines are only open till 8PM CST. I needed help with Quick Time program and had to wait till the next day. By the way you have to download Flip4Mac to open ,wmv files."
