Elmo is great, but then...,

"We bought our 20 month old daughter an Elmo live at Thanksgiving. It is a wonderful toy, but we have now had to return to the store twice to get replacement Elmo's! Why, you might ask...well after two weeks of playing with him he suddenly stops his statements short of finishing. We starts these random movements (not programmed), and it progressively gets worse until he basically stops working. There is a flaw somewhere in the Elmo. Our daughter loves him and I would agree with the first review that it is loud and very noisy, but worth it if you can find a good one. I figure that most Elmo's are still hiding in Santa's toy box or already under a tree for Christmas Day and we will here from more people with defective Elmo's in the next few weeks."
