"The truth will set you free",

"What can I say about this cd and be kind. well for one, I wanted to take this cd back to the store, get my money back, and download the only song "The truth will set you free" that sounded like Labelle.
On October 21, I was walking along 6th Ave in New York City and saw a poster advertising Labelle's new cd, Back to Now. I hastily walked to the nearest cd store and bought the cd, all the time singing songs like "Isn't it a shame" and "Get you somebody new" in my head. When I got home I slid the cd in my player and turned it up... each song I waited to hear the powerhouse back up of Nona and Sara. This was nothing but another Patti cd except for one Rock-out song lead by Nona, "The truth will set you free" which did take me back to Labelle. Don't get me wrong I love Patti and she did sing her heart out on this cd but I wanted to hear the powerhouse back up and ad-libs of Nona and Sara as they used to. They sounded more like some hired backup singers used to insignificantly back up Patti on her cd. This cd sounded nothing like Labelle by any stretch. I have always been a big fan of Labelle but not this time, because this was not Labelle but instead a Patti cd. You'll love this cd if you're only looking to hear Patti and not Labelle. Patti is a great singer and this is a great cd for Patti. There... the truth has set me free."
