The Host, January 12, 2009
By Lydzie

"to be honest the first time i picked up the host i was a bit apprehensive about whether or not i would like it. The begining was slow and i had to read it twice to make sure i understood it and could see the story progress in my minds eye.

The stroy of the host is a progressive one. It takes its time ot blossom and when it does its one of the most interesting. Themes of love, humanity and belonging engage the reader in a very strong hold.

After reading the host one is left with its impression on their minds and it gives great food fo thought. I personally read it twice because i just couldn't get enough. its a beautiful read even though you have to be patient and wait for the stroy to develope.

The host is not like the twilight series in all honesty i dont think it is suposed to be. Its a completely different story and it takes its reader on a completely different ride. Even though they are from the same writer, the twilight series is about a completely different life and love. One should therefore not compare the two.

All, in all i loved The Host. its characters , its emotions and above all its story. I would definately recomment it."
