Worth The Trip!,

"Going to Empress Taytu is akin to taking a trip back in time to Africa. The Ethiopian women, who mainly run the establishment, are warm and welcoming. The food is not as exotic as some might be afraid of. I've never had a strong desire to try odd or 'wierd' food, so I was slightly aprehensive before tryng their cuisine. I was very pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious! We got the combo platter and were able to try many different tastes. Eating without silverware, with the injera (bread), was mastered quickly by us all. Take your time if you go. Eating at Empress Taytu is not like our fast-moving American restaurants. Service is relaxed yet efficient. What a treat an evening at the Empress is!"
