"My Jeep is a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Because of the extra 2 doors I have to suffer through the snobbery of some fellow Jeepers who think that the extra length has no place on the trail. The most common phrase is "soccer mom SUV". As Jason said, pretty much every "soccer mom SUV" outclasses this Jeep in every traditional category. A Wrangler's (JKs included) only rationale for ownership is found off-road. Just because Jeep decided to make the trip to and from the adventure more tollerable in no way means that this is a serious competitor with any other SUV. Some people purchase Jeeps and never wheel them, but these people don't define the Wrangler; they bought the Wrangler to define THEM. The Wrangler is an off-road vehicle built for road use as well. Other SUVs are on-road vehicles that can be taken off-road occasionally (and carefully in most cases). So I rate the Wrangler mostly for its off-road prowess--its true intended purpose-- for which I give this Jeep a 5. I only take off one star because on road it does indeed suffer next to other offerings."
