Gave me hives...in a good way...sort of, March 31, 2009

"First of all, I can't believe that the owners really take the authoritarian political themes seriously. Or maybe I don't want to know. But dispite the occasional thought that I was sponsoring Stalinist oppression and purges, the food is so good, and the beer selection is so astounding (perhaps the best I've seen this side of the Atlantic) that I have to rate this place as an instant favorite.
OK, I did have an astounding allergic reaction to something just as I was leaving. I take off a star for that pending my investigation into just what made me react.
I'm not allergic to cigarette smoke (be warned) or anything I know of excepting mold, which I can usually smell instantly.
I am guessing that perhaps the owners really are authoritarian zealots, and that causes intense anaphylaxis in aLibertarian like me...
Otherwise, five stars and a thumbs-up."
