"I'm somewhat surprised to see all the high marks for this restaurant after going there recently. Most of my family, including myself, works or has worked in foodservice for most of our lives, so I'm usually pretty forgiving when it comes to restaurants and service.

The menu was a little odd, to start with. It was like someone had tried to be edgy and original, but had come up with some of the oddest combinations of food I'd ever seen in a failed attempt to be unique. The decor had the feel of a place that was once impressive and is starting to show it's age. Broken wicker on the chairs, dirty bathrooms, and missing paint and finish are just a few of the things I noticed.

In our brief interaction with the manager, Buna Combie, he was rude and pompous. From watching his interactions with other tables, he seemed very unprofessional and borderline inappropriate. Our server, Andrew, was smug and bored and spent most of the night flirting at the bar nearby instead of refilling drinks at his tables. The rushed food runner spilled meat juice all over one of our party, and didn't even apologize.

Some of our meals seemed to be passable, but my shrimp was overcooked to chewy, rubbery chunks. For someone to give high marks to this place, their standards must be low indeed. I've had better nights at an Olive Garden, and actually most of these problems would have been overlooked if the manager and server had been better. After that, all the white Christmas lights in the world won't make up for the experience I had here."
