Cosmic Alpine Scratcher,

"I, too, love the slanted Alpine Scratcher, as do ALL my cats! I have 5 of them in various stages of disintegration.
That would have to be my only negative on these wonderful scratch pads, they are so popular the main "body" wears out. First to go is the toy inside, it never lasts long. Next, the corners at the bottom of the casing tears, and the pad slides downward, sometimes all the way out. With vigorous cats, there's not much you can do about this, even the strongest tape comes loose.
However, I find myself buying the refills as an inexpensive alternative to wide flat boxed ones (less than half the cost), so I'm still a big fan of these beauties."
