Don't fall for this piece of JUNK, October 6, 2009

"I got this imac thinking I'd have a nice too look at, but fast computer that was also reliable to put in my office. I also thought the kids would enjoy having a new system to play around with. Boy was I wrong! I got it home and the first thing I noticed were stuck pixels. The next thing i noticed was that safari crashed on a couple of web pages I went to. It would work ok at first, but then I'd eventually get this the computer was restarted after mac osx quit unexpectedly.

Other things seemed fine, but then I noticed that itunes loaded pretty slow in comparison to my pc. Basically this thing is a snail! Getting any games to run was near impossible, but when I did the graphics card was horrible. It's not that I expect it to meet up with my pc. But I didn't expect it to be that bad really.

So that was a let down. I however really like the pretty interface with all the icons at the bottom which made it easy to launch programs and not look for them. youtube worked really well and can't complain there. The big thing was that some web pages out there that load easily on my pc, wouldn't load correctly. I did notice that java seemed fast though.

I am trying to be fair about this, but I was actually really upset with the stupid little white keyboard they gave me and the joke of a mouse. I don't see how some people talk about apple quality when they do something like that. It's like the case is nice quality and shiny and all, but the keyboard and mouse are terrible. And those are more important!

The next week is what made up my mind. I kept getting random crashes and reboots. So I called apple to see what to do. I was put on hold like 20 times and had to wait, finally they hung up on me. When I got someone I was given this snotty, condescending jerk who implied it must be my fault somehow. I assured him that I did nothing to make it crash. I also complained about the red dot floating in the middle of my screen and he told me that apple does not accept returns for bad pixels.

That was the last straw. I got off the phone and called my credit card company. Big fight ensued. I won. Had I waited any longer, I would have been stuck with this slow thing. My over all rating of 1 star is based on a slow system, terrible customer support, CRASHING operating system and browser and stuck red pixel, and terrible keyboard and mouse. And I figure people will rush to it's defense and say it's just a defective one. Well there is no explanation that would account for everything, including poor quality or slowness or explain problems with my cousins imac system board. I should have listened to him when he said they weren't very nice when it comes to problems. I would NOT recommend this to any one."
