I Removed Secunia Software Inspector, January 29, 2009

"This is a good program in principal, but in reality, it has found a Windows problem that gives me an error message when I click on the repair icon. It flags this problem which, on further examination, seems to be related to Windows XP. But I have Vista. There is no way to "disable" erroneous program "finds" so as not to be bothered in the future with its errors. In their own forums, many people have reported this same error. One writer asks, "Do they not even bother to read these concerns?". Their "solution" is for them to hand me a big assignment to find a fix for this error message myself. An assignment is not why I installed the program in the first place. My solution, of late, has been to uninstall programs that really don't work or have no meaningful support from the program owners. So I removed the program."
