New to the Pavilion and new to Vista,

"Being a first time user of the Pavilion dv9000 with Vista is a daunting experience, but one that soon develops into an appreciation of what you have available for work and play.
The UK price was extremely attractive at PC World and the VAT reclaim on export made it even more attractive.
The display is awesome, clear and sharp, and the DVD playback is the best I have seen.
Vista takes some getting used to because the functions normally available in Word and Excel as pull down menus are now laid out differently in the header area, under various groupings which pop up and expand as selected.
The service I got from HP Singapore when I travelled there and found a minor software installation problem was exceptional, the DVD player problem was fixed in minutes.
Do I like it? Yes.
Does Vista need a good manual supplied with the PC for for first time users? Yes.
Would I recommend the PC - Vista combination? Yes."
