"I think there should be an entirely different staging system for cancer patients who are parents raising children. (Stage I-IV nk - no kids, Stage I-IV p - parent). Gail Baker's life and story shows exactly why these are completely different experiences.

I am the author of Everything Changes: The Insider's Guide to Cancer in Your 20s and 30s. I have interviewed myriad cancer patients who are parents. Though you are drawn into Gail's family and story, I believe her message is universal to most parents trying to balance the unknown future of cancer while loving up their children.

Their is a real void in cancer memoirs that tell the story of parents, whose struggles are so, so different than the rest of us cancer patients. Hats off to Cancer is A B**** for filling that niche with such a realistic and straight up tone."
