Warehouse 13 has room to improve, July 8, 2009
By StarrpointHost01

"Uneven and a bit silly, I was very disappointed in the writing and emphasis on this series.

It was supposed to be an extrapolation of the last scene in Raider of the Lost Ark, where the art is boxed and warehoused. I really was looking forward to it. Something new and innovative is what we were promised.

Instead we got the stereotypical government agents, a rather silly warehouseman and the “mysterious” Mrs. Fredrick”.

The entire thing was rather uneven in its execution. More mysticism and black arts are in this warehouse. The people being brought in are never really given the lowdown, which is highly unfair as well as unethical. Mrs. Fredrick states that these people are now “hers” as if they are bought and paid for slaves. They are asked to make a commitment without the facts.

The story had promise, but the ending, with major portions of the town somehow gathered at a medieval sacrificial faire, was a bit much. If they are going to use historical figures, they should at least try to get some of it right."
