Hard drive issues with the HP DV2310US Notebook, October 20, 2008

"I purchased the HP Pavilion DV2310US from Circuit City for daughter to take to college in 2007. She uses her HP Pavilion notebook mainly for basic Microsoft applications and school work. Since then, she has had to send the HP Pavilion notebook for repair three times. The problem is the dv2310us just completely crashes for no reason. Although HP service has acknowledged problems with this specific HP Pavilion model, the time required for shipping and repair has been a extremely taxing and difficult process. Each time, HP has had to repair or replace the hard drive in the dv2310us. In each case my daughter has lost all her files and had to reload all her computer applications. Basically a nightmare for a stressed college student!"
