Great for Flowers!, October 14, 2009
By hAndiMom

"I found Paper Clay at my local craft store while looking for inspiration to make my daughter's wedding bouquets, which she insisted she wanted me to make for her out of paper instead of using real flowers. I had never worked with paper, but I have sculpted many times with other clays as well as bread dough, so I thought I'd give it a try. It is the easiest medium I have ever used and can't wait to make Christmas ornaments this year! The flowers are coming out great, so realistic and there is virtually no weight to them! I just knead acrylic paint into the clay to get the color a shade or two darker than I want it, since it dries lighter than the wet color, and go to work. It is a lot like making flowers for cake decorations out of gum paste, but lighter in weight and not at all sticky. This would be great for kid's projects too!"
