Prey (Xbox 360) Review,

"Prey is a novel twist on the standard FPS , whereby the main difference being gravitational - yes you can walk on walls / ceilings etc. The weapons are quite varied and cool. One of note is the leech gun- utilising nodes on walls that energy is drawn out of - giving various different 'types' of ammunition. You would think that with the ability to walk on walls etc.- the game would allow for the definitive FPS exerience - but alas , the game is very linear. You play a Cherokee Indian - who is abducted by aliens - and has to fight through waves of them to save his GF. The graphics are quite nice , cut scenes arent that impressive -voice acting is adequate. The fps rate is maintained well throughout. Be warned I played this on a projector - and the switching of gravity can create some nausea , and had me reaching for the maxolon.
the length of play would be around 10 hours for a single player game , I havent tried the multiplayer.
I think a great game for a rental/ weekend, or picking it up for half price -it would be a decent buy .
Graphics 4/5 Sound 4/5 Longevity 3/5 Replay value 1.5/5 Overall 4/5"
