"First and foremost I would like to say thank you to the people at THQ and Volition, it is a treat to taste the fruits of your labor! Now that that is out of the way, and before you criticize me for being a suck up, go get this game... If you are on the fence about picking the latest Red Faction game you are in luck! I have compiled a list of questions that will help you determine how closely this game resembles your play style, thus making your decision making process easier. Without further a-do here is question number one...
Do you enjoy games that can be played at your own pace?
Do you enjoy open world maps?
Do you enjoy a variety in missions?
Do you like explosions?
Does the idea of placing explosive devices in strategic locations to bring down entire complexes, in as life-like fashion as possibly in digital format make you smile?
Have you ever wanted to drive a truck through a building?
What about making said truck explode while your enemies use it as cover, also destroying the building you crashed through? Do you like the sound of that?
Lets face the facts here everyone, Red Faction Guerrilla is a fantastic piece of software that makes leaps in videogame technology, presents those leaps with breathtaking graphics, and all the while tells a story that is, at it's very core, human nature.
Now before you roll your eyes and blow this off as fanboyism think about it. The people of Mars are being oppressed past the point of disparity, nearly to death by a military force that's ambition can only be overshadowed by its ignorance. Your brother has just been murdered by these people, forcing you into reluctant but passionate service to the Red Faction. Your goal is liberation, your means... pretty much anything you can think of.
By this point you have most likely been exposed to several reviews of this game, some good and some not so good, I feel strongly that what the game offers outshines what it lacks, please take all reviews with a grain of salt and remember... the most accurate review is YOUR review!"
