Poor Dining Experience, March 1, 2009
By clark_l

"I made reservations 10 days prior to Valentine's day. I arrived with my date at 7:30pm only to discover that the reservations could not be found. We were later taken to a table across the restaurant through a back door to their "other room" a.k.a. the garage. There was plastic covering the windows with duck tape ripping off and letting in all the cold air inside. To counter this, the restaurant provided extra large heaters which were attached to the ceiling. However, this did not provide adequate heating and many patrons were still dressed in their winter coats. The tables and the chairs were plastic and it did not seem that this was the Parallax that everyone raves about. After complaining several times we were finally moved to the overcrowded bar area, but at least we were warm. One of our ordered entrees was the arctic char that was brought out looking like a piece of warm sashimi on a pile of rice. The fish was barely cooked. We had to send it back 2 more times before they decided to actually cook it through while my dates dish was getting cold. The restaurant tried to make up for their mistakes by treating us to free desert, but this did not make up for for ruing a special occasion. It was a terrible experience and one thing for sure, I am NEVER going back again... I highly DO NOT recommend Parallax as the management has grown too greedy trying to sit more customers at the expense of failing to stand up to its well known standards."
