"i am a long time bike nut...my credentials include numerous road racing,drag racing and motocross races with numorous wins. i genuinely just love to ride any time anywhere(except riding in the rain). i have and still own many street bikes including an s1, h2, vfr's, cbrr's, fzr's, gsxr's , and dirtbikes from ossa's to maico's and a plethera of jap bikes. i loved them all. now i own an xr 1200. and aside from the location of the blinkers and kill switch i love this bike too. while not a rocket, this baby is smooth where it needs to be and shakes where it is supposed too,(at an idle). the motor pulls like a draft horse without any hesitation or flat spots. the suspension while firm is not jarring and gives precise feedback without any tail wash. the ergo's are just what my 5'8' frame needs..the wide bars and the narrow tank and medium seat height make this guy a street tamer while making effortless direction changes in traffic and tight intersection situations. while the bike is heavy it does not feel that way, and the benefits of the weight in windy riding situations make this scooter a great road cruiser for day trips. the tires work great and coupled with the well engineered suspension and brakes inspire confidence while in the twisties......all in all this scooter is the answer for guys or girls, who like me already have a couple of crotch rockets in the garage and just want to have loads of fun while doing some town or country road riding."
