"Unless you need to leave your pet unattended for a couple days -save your money and use a traditional covered litter box. The auto scooper breaks the clumps apart leaving litter with lots of pebbles of waste that just go through the rakes. The waste container does nothing to contain the odor. There are tons of nooks and crannies that need constant cleaning and places for liquid waste to get into causing more odor - and a rusted/failed AC connection rendering the unit useless. Its a cleaning nightmare. Lots of dry litter must be swept from UNDER the unit - not sure how it gets there. The ramp is useless - my cats go over the side or just jump over the ramp. I use 2 boxes - one traditional and this auto one as my cats need to be left alone for 3 days a week. The traditional one goes through much less litter and is always cleaner. I am constantly filling the Littermade since I must dump lots to get rid of a good portion of the broken up clumps of solid waste. (Scoop Away is the litter used - so not using a cheep litter)"
