Load up the Rhubarb muffins for a fulfilling snack,

"I thought this recipe tasted a little towards the bland side. It was very simple to make and gave a good foundation to build on. On my second batch I added an extra 1/2 tsp of cinnamon a couple dashes of ground ginger, cloves and nutmeg each as well as a pinch of mace. (Increase according to individual taste buds.) Some grated orange zest. Then I toasted some sliced almonds added those in the final stage, as well as a sprinkle of saskatoon berries and 3 chopped strawberries. I left everything else the same including sugar amounts. Much much tastier and more fulfilling for a snack. Also, I followed the other suggestion and increasd the salt amount to stand up to the whole grain flour. However for the sodium conscious this I think could be skipped due to the increased spice levels. Hope this gives others some ideas. Thanks for the great start."
