"I grew up on this stuff! At weddings, babtisms, quinceneras. I always call my Dad who was born in Jalisco for special recipes and then I compare what he's told me with what I've found online-let me add he thinks it's funny and interesting that I would search Mexican recipes online.....anyways. This recipe is truly authentic. My friends (who are 1st generation Mexican-American, like yours truly) were my testers...we ALL Loved it. We kept laughing thinking that all that was missing was a big band playing Nortenas in the background and our tejanas (cowboy hats) to make the meal even more authentic. I will be making this soon for my sons birthday and I can't wait for people to ask who I ordered the birria from! Our secret! : p"
