Good, but needs a few small changes., August 3, 2009

"This recipe turned out tasty but could be a little better. I used beef instead of lamb and butter instead of lard. I probably could have used half of the stock since the dish was very runny. I left much of the liquid in the cooking pan. I should also have used 92% lean beef since the 85% I used created a lot of grease (the cheddar cheese on top also created a lot of grease, but was really important for the overall flavor of the dish). That said, the flavor was good and everyone was happy. I'll definitely make it again, just with a few small tweaks."
