Might be OK with some changes, April 6, 2009

"I made this yesterday. I was having soup for supper, and I wanted to serve cornbread with it. I followed each instruction very carefully. I used only 2 cups of bread flour at first. I added more only until the dough was firm enough to work with. I remember thinking that it did not "feel" right, but I had never made this recipe before, so I knew I better follow the directions carefully anyway.
SO I did what was written, and soon my whole house was filled with that wonderful aroma of baking. The flavor was a bit too sweet for me. The final outcome was that it was just too dry.
NEXT time I make this recipe (and I will make it again!) I might make half of the recipe loaves and the other half rolls. I will add cheese and jalapeno slices, then other things each time I make this. I will make it over and over, till I get what I know it can be.
OH, and by the way, I cut small pieces of the bread and put them in each bowl of soup. INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
