"This chowder certainly did not taste "light" or as if we were missing anything!! My husband of 37 years said it is the best thing I had ever made, and he likes my cooking. He is lacto intolerant so I used low fat Lactaid rather than milk and it was still delicious!! The recipe was easy to halve. I added a little more thyme and some fresh ground black pepper to suit our tastes. This will definitely be a regular for us in the future, especially on cold winter days!!!"
