"I just made these (or my take on them). The pancakes can be make very simply with eggs, flour, salt, and water and they turn out fine for that quick sweet dessert. I also much prefer oil to butter for cooking any pancakes (I learned this as a child nearly 40 years ago) as it does not burn. But my mom still uses butter! I just don't like the taste of burned butter (except in brown butter sauce!).
I also use Mexican crema, as it's very easy to find here and compliments many fruits very nicely.
This is a great way to use fruit jams!"
