"we just got back from jamacia and had some rum cake, fell in love with it. went online and found the recipe for bacardi rum cake and decided to make one. was very good, wanted to taste it so we didnt let it age very long.we drink captain black so that is what we used for rum. i read some reviews and people said they took the cake out of the pan then poured glaze into the pan and set the cake back into the pan to let the cake soak up the glaze. we did this and poured about one quarter of the glaze over the bottom. i let the cake set overnight in the pan. when we took it out and turned it over , cut a piece to try it it was good but the top of the cake was almost soggy from the glaze, it only soaked in about 3/4'. i think when i make the next one i will use a syringe to inject the glaze into the cake. if you have any suggestions please forward."
