"to make it quicker we use taco seasoning mix and to add something different we add a small can of mexicorn. Olives added to mixture is great or added after baking on top. Canned tomatos had to much acid for my husband so i used tomato soup and only added enough water to make it mixable. My son in growing up enjoyed tamale pie so much that i had to make his own full sized dish, he ate that much."
