Baking Powder Fresh Every Time, December 19, 2007

"My next door neighbor when I was a small child used to swear black and blue she was a terrible baker because every cake, loaf or batch of muffins she made fell flat.
When I found out a year or so ago that commercially made baking powder can 'go off' I realized she probably baked very rarely and stale baking powder was the reason for her baking flops.
Making your own baking powder like this means a consistently fresh product and therefore active ingredients that are actually active!
Yay for simple recipes that keep our Christmas Baking Spirits fluffy and 'high'."
